High soil pH (above 6.0) dramatically reduces iron availability, so it is important to use irons that are chelated so iron is not lost to the plant. Lawn mosses are extremely sensitive to higher levels of Iron while being lapped up by hungry grasses. However, iron sources vary and will blacken your lawn if overused, checking growth. Gro-Expert Organic Iron will weaken moss to allow for grasses to grow more easily. If moss if quite prevalent in your lawn, once it is browned, always remove it and sow grass seed into its place for a thicker turf. Always remember, if the conditions that favour the growth of moss are not changed, the moss will recover over time, so it is important to remedy this with drainage or more light if possible.

How to use Organic Iron for Lawns

Add 10ml of the Iron to 10L of water. Apply once a month from mid April until end of September with Gro-Expert Professional Lawn Feed. Iron is a essential for all grasses and as it drives chlorophyll production for the process of photosynthesis. This organic Iron is unique to Gro-Expert and will help you grow a vibrant lawn which has less moss.

10L is equivalent to a 2 gallon watering can. For 1 gallon can, please use half rate. Shake well before use.
