High soil or growing media pH (above 6.0) dramatically reduces iron availability, so it is important to use irons that are chelated so iron is not lost to the plant. Gro-Expert Organic Liquid Iron is the ultimate organic source of Iron available to professional growers across the world and now we bring it to the home gardener. Chelated by modified tree sap, Gro-Expert Organic Liquid Iron (5% Fe) is chelated which means is it pure Iron which is always available to the plant can be mixed with any feed to boost iron levels to optimum.

Gro-Expert Organic Iron is available in 250 and 500ml dual chambered bottles for ease of measurement and should be used in every feed at 5mls per 10litre of water applied to the roots of plants.

Top Tip

Iron is not very mobile in the plant so for very iron demanding plants such acid species such as rhododendrons, azaleas and camelia or species that often show deficiency such a Buxus (box) and hydrangea, foliar applications are recommended. For foliar application add 2-3mls of Gro-Expert Organic Liquid Iron to every 1 litre of spray. It may take more than one application to correct severe deficiency so apply as necessary at 7-day intervals.

How to use Organic Iron for Evergreens

Add 5ml of the Iron to 10L of water. Apply once a month from mid April until end of September. (For best results apply alongside Gro-Expert Total Garden Feed).
