How to use Total Garden Feed
Gro-Expert Total Garden Feed can be used directly into a watering can or made into a liquid stock.
Direct method
Add 1 heaped teaspoon of the feed to 10L of water. Apply as required in every watering during the growing season.
Making a stock (for future use)
Add 500mls of warm water to a jug and mix in the 100g of feed. Top up to 1 litre mixing until all the powder is dissolved. Once mixed, put the stock solution into a container for use as and when you need it. When using stock add 10mls to 10 litres of water. Apply as required in every watering during the growing season.
10L is equivalent to a 2 gallon watering can. For 1 gallon can, please use half a teaspoon. Always remember to close the foil pack after use.
Top Tips
When using soluble powders, it is really easy to make a ‘stock solution’ so you don’t need to keep measuring out feed with a damp spoon. Using a damp spoon can reduce the longevity of your Total Garden Feed so we would recommend following this Top Tip.
To do this find an old container, ideally a liquid detergent bottle as it comes with a handy measuring cap. Weigh out 100g of Total Garden Feed and add to a litre jug half-filled (500mls) with warm water. Stir in the feed which will disappear to a clear solution and top up to a litre. Allow to cool and add to your ‘stock bottle’. Repeat as necessary to fill the bottle. There’s enough feed to make 10 litres of stock solution.
