Gro-Expert Compost Accelerator provides support for optimal composting. Added to water and applied to your compost it adds moisture and provides nutritional support for both worms and decomposing bacteria so as to create the perfect conditions for much faster composting as worm and bacteria numbers will increase to create amazing compost in as little as 6-8 weeks.
Do you have a compost bin at the bottom of the garden, which is full to the brim of clippings, potato peelings, possibly grass clippings and maybe even old cardboard and think this is taking forever to turn into compost you can add back to your garden?
Don’t worry, you are not alone. For an active compost bin you need four things – moisture, warmth, worms/insects and compost decomposing bacteria. Apart from moisture, nature will provide all the others for you and once you begin composting. Siting you compost bin over open soil they come up from the soil to help your composting because all they see is a big juicy dinner!
Sometimes however, the things you add to you compost bin (hardy plant roots, cardboard, possibly even teabags) are hard to breakdown and the composting organism run out of energy. Gro-Expert’s compost accelerator helps the process of breaking plant material down by providing the essential nutrients and organic compounds composting organisms need to thrive. This not only helps with the harder organic materials but will speed up the whole process allowing you to make far more compost throughout the year without emptying your bin and reducing trips to the recycling centre!
Gro-Expert Compost Accelerator is available in 1.0L dual chambered bottles for ease of measurement and should be applied to compost bins every 4-6 weeks depending upon how much garden waster you have to compost. For optimal compost please allow at least 12 weeks before use, to allow bacteria numbers to decrease. This is important as the bacteria like to eat nitrogen and if compost is applied too early to beds or borders the bacteria can eat the essential nitrogen your plants need for growth.
How to use Compost Accelerator
Add 100ml of the feed to 10L of water. Apply once every 4-6 weeks.
Gro-Expert Compost Accelerator naturally stimulates the proliferation of compost decomposing bacteria which increase the speed of the composting process to produce a rich, healthy organic compost in as little as 6-8 weeks.
Allow up to 12 weeks for optimal composting.
10L is equivalent to a 2 gallon watering can. For 1 gallon can, please use half rate. Shake well before use.
Top Tip
For optimal composting, always site your compost bin in a reasonably sunny spot, on small mesh wire over bare soil. This allows worms, other insects, and beneficial bacteria to access the bin from underneath and provides warmth, better aeration, and drainage without being too hot. The wire mesh will prevent your compost being becoming a new home for Mr and Mrs Rat and their extended family.
